Colombo City Tour

Welcome to Sri Lanka!
We will meet you at the airport assist and transfer you to your hotel in Colombo, Depending on your time of arrival we will take you on a city tour which includes a drive past colonial buildings such as the Presidential Secretariat (previously the parliament house), the Grand Oriental Hotel, built in the mid 19th century as barracks for the British military, the Light house clock tower, designed by the wife of British governor Sir Henry Ward, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall or BMICH as it is commonly known, the Vihara maha Devi park (formerly the Victoria Park). Finally, a visit to a Buddhist temple, Hindu kovil , Colombo Museum and Independence Square. if you wish we can go for some shopping in the afternoon

Colombo – Pinnawala -Kandy

After Breakfast leave for Pinnawala and visit the elephant orphanage. Most of the elephants in the orphanage are raised to maturity after having been found abandoned or injured in the country’s jungles. The atmosphere is cheerful and full of fun. The highlights at this orphanage our the baby elephant’s being bottle fed and the elephant’s bathing at the river.

Later in the evening do a brief city tour of Kandy and visit the historic temple of sacred tooth where Buddhas tooth relic is “Sri Dalada Maligawa”. There is a cultural show in the evening which you can attend.

Kandy – Dambulla

After breakfast leave for Dambulla. visit Sigiriya’s Rock Fortress, where King Kasyapa built a fortified palace around a 183 meter rocky outcrop in the 5th century AD. You will also see some magnificent frescoes of the Sigiriya maidens. The rock rises 200m above the evergreen forests and on the summit are the remains of the vast palace that belonged to King Kasyapa.

Dambulla -Anuradhapura

After Breakfast visit the rock cave temples that historically dates back to the 12th century AD.

then we move to Anuradhapura.

Aunradhapura – Trincomalee

After an early breakfast,we start to explore ancient city Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura was established as the Capital of Sri Lanka during the 5th century BC and remained a kingdom for more than 1000 years. Due to frequents invasions by the Cholas the Capital was moved to Polonnaruwa and remained a stronghold for many years. Subsequent Colonial invasions changed the course of history making these cities fade into oblivion. Today these ancient cities are UNESCO heritage listed historic sites.

we visit Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, the sacred bo tree which has the oldest written history in the world, and Jethawana, Ruwanweli pagodas.after that we drive to Trincomalee

Tricomalee and around

Trinco is known for its beautiful beaches and the Natural Harbor, we go to visit pigeons Island in the morning, its actually a paradise, you can snorkel or dive at there.

in the afternoon we visit Koneshwaram Hindu shrine and fort Fedrik

In the morning according to your time schedule we go to visit Marble beach which has an amazing view of harbor and a flat calm beach.
